About the company

From our headquarters in Emilia‑Romagna, Italy, BikesPlus Travel (formerly Cycle Europe) has been a leader in active travel in Europe for over 50 years—since 1972.

We support the full active travel experience: cycling and walking tours; bike, van and equipment rentals; route planning and tour design; ground operations; and local guiding services. We work closely with tour operators, groups and travel planners as a trusted on‑the‑ground partner in Italy and across Europe, providing reliable support at every stage of a trip. We also specialize in custom‑designed itineraries for private or small group trips, as well as operating events and incentive travel.

Why choose BikesPlus Travel:
• Bike, van and touring equipment rentals: We offer a large fleet of high‑quality, unbranded bicycles—premium titanium road, hybrid and gravel bikes; touring and gravel e‑bikes; tandems; and a full range of kids' bikes and family accessories. Our equipment is maintained by expert, professional mechanics. Our customers praise our personalized delivery and bike fitting services.
• Group and tour operator services: We provide full support for multi‑day cycling and walking tours, events, and group travel. With fully equipped vans, bike trailers, and specialized touring equipment, combined with a multilingual team and extensive local network, we deliver dependable ground operations and logistics across Italy and Europe.
• Custom‑crafted travel experiences: Beyond logistics, we collaborate with our partners to design tailored itineraries that match specific client needs—whether for cyclists, walkers, or mixed‑activity groups looking for authentic, well‑structured experiences.
• Our service: From early planning and route design through booking and on‑tour operations, our English‑speaking team provides hands‑on, professional support. As your ground support partners, we are a local extension of your team - flexible, and focused on making every trip run smoothly.
