About the company
Launched in 2004, Cyclomundo is a one-of-kind travel company that offers a diverse array of cycling vacations. The company offers tours that are guided, self-guided, scheduled, customized, leisurely, or challenging. Based in the French Alps, steps from Geneva, Cyclomundo was born out of founder Bruno Toutain's lifelong love of cycling. The company's philosophy is to use local experts who passionately share their heritage with guests and to adhere to an ethic of sustainable development. By hiring only the best local guides, collaborating with European cycling advocacy groups, and working with a network of the very best small businesses. Cyclomundo has established a place for itself at the center of European cycling culture. Cyclomundo aims to help clients experience the cultural, regional, historical, and gastronomical heritage of their chosen destination and, of course, to provide safe and enjoyable bicycling adventures.
Regions & tours
We are based in the French Alps, in the Greater Geneva area—just steps from the ViaRhôna and only a few pedal strokes from the center of Geneva. We operate tours in the French Alps as well as in the bordering regions: Southern Burgundy, Provence, and Switzerland. In these areas, we serve as the incoming agency for several tour operators, or as a logistical partner—providing bike rentals and luggage transfers on the ViaRhôna (pictured above; image by T. Garcia) and beyond through our rental division: http://www.genevacycling.com. As a tour operator, we also offer trips throughout France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. In 2026, we plan to expand our offering to include tours in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
