Emmental Tourism is the tourism organisation for the Emmental region. The Emmental valley, home of the world-famous Emmental cheese and located to the north east of the city of Bern, is a place of tradition and innovation which tempts visitors with both culinary highlights and cultural and scenic attractions. The unmistakable landscape, covered in lush green, is characteristic of the unique Emmental valley. Numerous paths offering wonderful cycling routes wind their way through the meadows. The many hills mean that e-bikes are primarily used, which were invented in Emmental.

Our mission is to highlight the best of Emmental, offering expert guidance on must-see landmarks, activities, accommodation ad cultural facilities. The region specialises in e-bike riders and offers over 600 km of signposted cycle paths with charging stations and refreshment facilities. E-bike paradise Emmental: Hügu Himu (Heavenly Hills) offers the most beautiful e-bike tours in Switzerland. Enjoy more than 600 kilometers of signposted routes while cruising over the hills of the Emmental with EPower. 6 Hügu Himu Loops: Choose from 6 cycling tours which differ in the number of kilometers. On all loops you will be astounded by magnificent views, splendid Emmental farms and small roads with little traffic. The network of routes can be combined - we will support you with our local knowledge. E-bike rental: While individual guests can rent e-bikes with “Rent a Bike”, groups are perfectly accomodated with our partners „E-Bike Hub Emmental“ and „valley adventures“. Charge your batteries: Hügu Himu offers multiple charging stations at restaurants or little farm shops so you can fly unhindered while enjoying all the lovely Emmental hills. Warm hospitality: You can choose a unique overnight stay in a exeptional residential barrel, in a cozy Emmental inn or even feel like a king or queen when sleeping in a castle. Hiking paradise: The region also offers over 1,000 km of signposted hiking trails. The view of the Alps is nowhere as beautiful as from our scenic hills.
