La Bicyclette Verte
About the company
Initially, La Bicyclette Verte was a bicycle rental with the ambition of discovering, by bike, the magnificent Regional Natural Park of the Marais Poitevin. The largest wetland in the West of France is full of treasures and the founders of La Bicyclette Verte strongly believed in the tourism potential of this region. Then they fell under the spell of cycling holidays. Taking a liking to adventure, La Bicyclette Verte moved further and further away, always by bike, from its native Marais Poitevin. Spotting the routes, finding charming accomodation, browsing the tracks and paths, more and more destinations are offered: Canal du Midi, Gironde, Burgundy, Netherlands...It was immediate success! Nowadays, with the same passion as in its beginnings, La Bicyclette Verte tries to discover the ideal cycling routes, to find remarkable accomodation and to offer cycling holidays for everyone. Brittany, Lot-et-Garonne and even Spain and Portugal appear in the catalog.
Regions & tours
Located in the heart of the Marais Poitevin Regional Natural Park, within the Deux-Sèvres French department (west of France), in the small town of Arçais, La Bicyclette Verte offers cycling tours in its original destination, the Marais Poitevin. Indeed, this kingdom of greenery has many cycle paths on flat ground, allowing everyone to discover this natural park at their own pace and to marvel at its shaded landscapes. La Bicyclette Verte, because of its proximity to the ocean, also offers tours along the Atlantic coast on cycle paths such as the Vélodyssée (Eurovelo 1), from Nantes to Biarritz, the Vélo Francette from Angers to La Rochelle, but also along the Canal des 2 Mers, Loire, or the Flow Vélo. These tours are reviewed and re-experienced every year by the Bicyclette Verte team, in order to find the best accomodation and offer quality services to customers. Our 2026 B2B catalog is ready, Feel free to ask us!
