About the company
We are a Travelife certified Ethiopian tour operator founded in 2014 employing 15 tourism professionals enthusiastic about travel and outdoors. We enjoy exploring new destinations and propose innovative products off the beaten path. Among others, we're specialized in biking and cycling tours all over Ethiopia and the exclusive company operating E-Bikes. We own a bike trailer carrying 14 bikes and a mountain bike fleet of 20+ imported hard tail mountain bikes (Scott Scale 980 & 935) and 10 new one-of-a-kind full suspension E-Bikes (Scott Strike eRIDE 930). Our bike guides are annually trained in group management, emergency response and bike mechanics, and include Yirga Mekuriaw (EN), Marco Degasper (EN, DE, IT), Getachew Alemu (EN) and Samuel Belete (EN). Our European management understands the clients' needs and expectations; we give high importance to customer satisfaction and focus on quality and on maintaining our words.
Regions & tours
Ethiopia is an emerging tourist destination in general, and in particular for biking. It's definitely a challenging cycling destination, but offering spectacular landscapes, dramatic mountain ranges, lakes and waterfalls, rich cultural heritage, and world-famous coffee. Considering the challenges of operating bike tours in the Northern part of the country, we developed multi day cycling trips to other regions, mainly to the safe south of Ethiopia, where biking on exciting roads and tracks can be combined with cultural experiences in surprisingly green landscapes. These routes are through regions such as Gurage, Sidama, the Bale Mountains, and the lakes in the Rift Valley, emphasizing no traffic and authentic village experiences. Riders should be prepared for high altitudes, rugged terrain, and occasional technical trails, which can also be avoided. We recommend fully guided tours for logistics, safety, and local knowledge. Then Ethiopia is guaranteed a rewarding destination for adventurous cyclists seeking spectacular scenery, unique culture, and unforgettable riding experiences. The best season to visit Ethiopia for biking is October to March.
