About the company
Sondor Travel is Albania's longest-established DMC, founded in Tirana in 1991. We work B2B only, operating multiday cycling and hiking programmes for international tour operators, including guided groups and self-guided FITs, across Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Northern Greece. We handle everything on the ground, including routes, bikes, luggage transfers, vehicle support, accommodation, English-speaking guides and 24/7 assistance. Sondor is Albania's first GSTC-certified operator, a UN Women's Empowerment Principles signatory and winner of the UNDP SDG Business Pioneers Award 2025. We also build white-label programmes tailored to a partner's own brief.
Regions & tours
Albania offers quiet paved backroads, 2,000 m passes and a 300 km Ionian coastline in one week of riding, with UNESCO towns such as Berat, Gjirokastra and Butrint, the thermal springs at Përmet and Lake Ohrid along the routes. The main season runs from April to June and September to October. Current programmes include the guided UNESCO Trail of Southern Albania (8 days), the self-guided Ohrid to the Ionian Sea tour (8 days, with e-bikes available), the guided Three Countries tour from Dubrovnik to the Albanian Highlands, and the sportive Balkan Crossing through Albania, North Macedonia and Greece by road bike. All programmes can be adapted in length, grading and hotel category and sold as new routes alongside an operator's existing Balkan portfolio.
