My first participation in Cycling Summit was back in 2018, in Arnhem, Netherlands — so it’s great to be back in the Netherlands, this time in Groningen.
Cycling Summit is a community and a place where people share their experiences, knowledge, and the situations they face in their companies. It’s a process, and I always come away with something new in my luggage — ideas, insights, and takeaways to bring back home.
It’s always a pleasure to meet, year after year, the same good friends — and to make new ones along the way.
About the company
Specialist operator offering Guided or Self Guided bike tours in Portugal, Top Bike tours Portugal (TBP) is a provider of holiday's packages and routes by bycicle, which offers an incredible holiday experience, entertainment and leisure activities based on quality and value. Our main product, Cycling Holidays, is a service, guided or unguided, over a week, behaving cycling holiday packages based on luxury accommodation and great meals. This tested packages includes not only cycling, but also places of great emphasis in our history, architecture, cuisine and local enology. Our base is in the North of Portugal, in Porto city center, where we have a local store dedicated to tourism and do city tours. Bicycles used in our tours can be hybrid, moutain, road bikes and e-bikes, depending on the bike tour and customer preferences. Even though we have a higher number of tours in the North of Portugal, we also operate in the south. There we have the „Vicentine Coast and the Algarve bike tour“. The easiest bike tours are those in the north of the country, however it is where most mountains exist. Our bike tours are easy, because they are near the coastal line and near the rivers. Style of our guided bike tours: We like to give freedom to our customers. So, most of our guided bike tours don´t include meals, except breakfast and the usual snacks and water that are always available in a support van. This allows participants to enjoy their time at lunch or dinner as they please. However, we always offer availibility to book restaurants at lunch and dinner time. The number of people on a guided bike tour can be between 4 to 20 people. In recent times the trend has been for larger groups where participants can meet people and make new friends.
