About the company

Crisscrossing the fabulous Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, the Véloroute des Bleuets is a route that loops around Lac Saint-Jean for 256 kilometres. It runs through 15 municipalities as well as the Indigenous community of Mashteuiatsh. Its users will discover areas of incredible beauty nestled in the heart of a lush natural landscape. The views of Lac Saint-Jean, a true inland sea, and the impressive rivers that feed it are breathtaking! The Véloroute des Bleuets stands out for its range of services adapted to cyclists: parking lots, cycling visitor information centres (Maisons du vélo), rest stops, charging stations for electric assist bikes, luggage shuttle services, marine shuttles and a mobile app, on top of its patrol ambassadors who ensure the warm welcome and safety of users. The route is open from May 15 to October 15, and it is accessible to all types of cyclists, whether the goal of the trip is recreational, family-oriented, performance cycling or bicycle touring. According to the National Geographic, the Véloroute des Bleuets is among the 10 most beautiful cycle routes in the world.

Regions & tours

The Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region is located in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is a 5-hour drive from Montréal (481 km) and 2.5hour drive from Quebec City (232 km).

Our region is renowned for its legendary warm welcome, its remarkable attractions and its gourmet pit stops. Lac Saint-Jean is the largest populated lake in Quebec, with 210 kilometres of shoreline and 42 kilometres of sandy beaches. An ideal location for swimming and enjoying the summer. What's more, August is the perfect time to pick fresh wild blueberries. In addition to its lake, our region is known for its colossal fjord, which offers landscapes that are unique in North America, situated roughly a 1-hour drive from the Véloroute des Bleuets.

Several packages are offered on the cycling circuit, with the most popular routes being 3, 4 or 5-day tours, with several additional options:
• Bike rentals
• Luggage shuttle
• Passenger transport
• Group, FIT, free or self-guided trips

The accommodations offering services adapted to cyclists are numerous and varied: hotels, bed and breakfasts, camping, and readyto-camp sites, among others. We work with several tour operators who create personalized packages on the Véloroute des Bleuets.
