We're a specialized, innovative and rapidly developing tour operator, based in Amsterdam and organize cycling vacations with accommodation on passenger ships in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany and various other countries in and outside of Europe. Since 2024, Islandhopping is a new strong member of our "family" with various tours in Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Scotland and Vietnam. The experienced and specialized teams in the Konstanz office and "on the ground" in Croatia, Greece and Turkey guarantee perfectly organized trips in their destinations. In a legal sense, as per 2025, Boat Bike Tours is the liable organizing tour operator for all Islandhopping tours. We have experienced and enthusiastic teams of approx. 50 in our Amsterdam HQ, 8 in our USA office, 14 in Constance, 100+ tour leaders and 400+ crew on ships. In 2025 we booked 30.000+ guests from all over the world.
Regions & tours
Accommodation is in well-equipped cabins aboard a river cruiser, a 20-40 pass. premium ship, a small boutique barge, a large sailing "tall ship" or a sea-going large motoryacht-like ship. Meals (breakfast, picnic lunch + dinners) are included; hybrid bicycles and e-bikes (on selected tours, other types of bicycles) can be rented.
We offer three tour formulas: fully guided cycling in small groups with 1-2 multilingual guides, fully independent tours (ride individually, at your own pace) or semi-guided tours on larger ships in Holland, Belgium and Germany. For all tours detailed custom-made cycling maps, GPX-tracks and a free navigation app for your phone and daily briefings are included.
