Back where it all began.

After thirteen years, CycleSummit returned to its place of origin: the historic Council building (Konzil) in Constance, where the very first CycleSummit took place in 2009. This time Constance was only part of the stage – together with Internationale Bodensee Tourismus (IBT), the whole four-country region of Lake Constance hosted the summit, where Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein meet around one lake.

Eight Sunday tours through five sub-regions, two marketplace days at the Konzil and evenings by the lake brought the international cycling travel community together for four days of business, exchange and fresh ideas.

Arrival in the tour regions

Participants of the weekend tours arrived in their tour region – Western Lake Constance, Northern Lake Constance, Vorarlberg, Liechtenstein or Thurgau – checked in at the local hotels and met for a welcome dinner at restaurants along their route.

Eight tours around the lake

On Sunday morning eight guided tours set off across the four-country region – from the lighthouse in Lindau to the vineyards of Thurgau, the alpine trails of Liechtenstein and the Höri peninsula. In the afternoon an organised transfer brought everyone to Constance.

Lindau Panorama Tour

Panoramic views from the lighthouse in Lindau, the lakeside bike path and a stop at the organic winery Haug with wine tasting.

Tour 2

Pleasure cycling around Überlingen

Culture and nature on the northern shore – the pilgrimage church Birnau, Salem Castle and regional cuisine by the water.

Tour 3

Discover Liechtenstein by e-bike

42 km between alpine trails and the Rhine valley near Vaduz, through forests and past castles – with a Liechtenstein-style lunch.

Tour 4

Discover western Lake Constance

55 km across the Höri peninsula with the Hegau volcanoes, literary sites and a visit to a sustainable company.

Tour 5

From Constance to Reichenau

35 km along the Rhine, past Mainau Island, a photo stop at the Hörnle and a loop around Reichenau Island with wine tasting.

Lake & wine: Thurgau by e-bike

From Arenenberg Castle through the hills of Thurgau to the Kartause Ittingen and along the Thur to Kreuzlingen.

Urban & culture tour

The urban Rhine valley route from Dornbirn to Bregenz with cultural stops and typical Austrian food.

Tour 8

Sport & nature tour

38 km through the nature reserves around Dornbirn and Bregenz – ending with Austrian specialities and a panoramic view.

Welcome at the Konzil

Back in Constance the summit opened with an aperitif on the terrace of the historic Council building by the harbour, followed by the official welcome presentation and the first dinner and networking evening.

Marketplace day 1

The first business day filled the great hall of the Konzil with 1:1 meetings at small tables – tour operators, destinations and partners, buyers and sellers at the same time – with lunch in the foyer for informal networking.

In the evening a leisurely city stroll with a beer – “Experience Constance” – led from the Konzil through the old town to dinner and networking at il Boccone.

Marketplace day 2

The second business day continued with further meetings at the Konzil, a last lunch together and the farewell – with an invitation to the next stops: CycleSummit 2026 in Groningen and the first CycleSummit Sports in Flanders.

The Lake Constance Cycle Path circles the lake across borders in a few days and is one of the most popular cycle routes in Europe. Around it, each part of the four-country region adds its own character.
